Exclusive: Aimee Teegarden Teases Return of Friday Night Lights

TV Fanatic had the amazing opportunity to catch up with Aimee Teegarden to talk about her upcoming films, including Scream 4, which opens in theaters today.

We snuck in a few questions about Friday Night Lights, which returns to NBC tonight with the premiere of its final season, as well. Excerpts below:

Are you excited for Friday Night Lights' final season tonight?

Aimee: I’m excited, but I’m so busy with so many other things. It’s a fantastic show and I’m so lucky to be a part of it and we made it to five seasons.

I’m traveling all around, so I don’t have a moment to think about it.

Tami, Julie Cheer

Was it a bittersweet moment amongst the cast?

It definitely was. But it being our fifth season, and knowing it was our last... and the cast members came back to do cameos. It was good to see old cast members and being able to do some scenes with them and tie up old storylines.

The show doesn’t tie up everything, and it’s not like everyone lives happily ever after. It definitely is the type of ending where you can imagine what happens to the characters afterward.

Friday Night Lights Quotes

"When Jason Street went down the first game of the season, everybody wrote us off. Everybody. And yet here we are at the championship game. Forty thousand people out there have also written us off. But there are a few out there who still believe in you."

Eric Taylor

We will all at some time in our lives, fall. Life is so very fragile, we are all vulnerable, and we will all at some point in our lives, fall, we will all fall.
We must carry this in our hearts, that what we have is special, that it can be taken from us, and that when it is taken from us, we will be tested. We will be tested to our very souls. We will all be tested.
It is these times, it is this pain, that allows us to look inside ourselves.

Eric Taylor
