Jill Flint on Evolution of Royal Pains Character, Love of Greg Jennings: Exclusive

at .

Jill Casey will be a new woman when Royal Pains viewers see her on the June 29 season premiere. What does this mean, exactly?

"She ran the hospital in the Hamptons, she got married there, she never left," star Jill Flint told me yesterday, after apologizing for her iPhone connection and correcting an error on a TV Fanatic article (thanks for reading!). She added of the character's South American trip:

"Making a change there changed her. It sparked a passion in her... honestly, it was nice to have a storyline that didn't pertain to Hank."

That made my next question awkward: Following events on the season two finale, what will happen between Jill and Hank this summer?

"They've always had really bad timing," Flint said. "Before anything else, though, they are really good friends and are supportive of each other. The question this season, though, will be: Will Jill go or will she stay?"

Flint also said Jill and Divya will grow tighter, ("I LOVED working so much with Reshma [Shetty].") but her favorite person to shoot scenes with so far? The man she says is "probably one of the most wonderful people you will ever meet?"

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings.

He guest stars on the July 6 episode, playing a role at a charity event and getting mocked by Jill for only catching one pass in Brett Favre's return to Lambeau Field a couple years ago.

Is there anything else Flint case tease about the new season?

"Jill gets caught up in an intense moment," she says." She realizes how dangerous the life of Boris Kuester von Jurgens-Ratenicz can be. She gets to see that first hand."

Royal Pains returns on June 29, and TV Fanatic will review every episode of this fun series in-depth.
