Bones EXCLUSIVE: Advice for Brennan

at .

Who wouldn't want to live like their favorite TV characters? They have beautiful homes, handsome partners, and adorable children... yet somehow they still manage to make a mess of things when it comes to love.

We at TV Fanatic are watching, waiting and hoping our favorite heroes and heroines come to their romantic senses, having already offered advice to Olivia Pope of Scandal and Tony DiNozzo of NCIS.

Now, we turn our attention to Dr. Temperance Brennan of Bones...

Brennan, Booth, Baby

Dear Temperance,

My Dear, you are the opposite of unlucky when it  comes to love. You have had love waiting for you to take the chance on it for years in the form of FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth.

Long before you ever slept together, Booth considered you the standard by which he compared all other woman.

Booth has hoped... and waited... and begged for you to love him back. When he finally put his feelings on the line in "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole," you told him  "I am not a gambler. I'm a scientist. I can't change. I don't know how."

For years you thought you needed to protect him…from you. That your heart wasn't open enough to give him what he needed. That the damage done by your parents abandonment and the abuse suffered in foster care had left you incapable of risking your heart on love.

But fast forward to present day and look how much has changed. You and Seeley live together. You own a home together. And you are raising your child. Together.

Once upon a time you swore you didn't know how to change but that theory was obviously incorrect. The evidence clearly shows that a lot has changed in the last few years.

You yourself admitted that, "It seems weird to call the father of my child my boyfriend," and I have to agree. Especially when the two of you are madly in love.

I know you've always considered marriage a pointless ritual and monogamy an unnatural state, but you are living monogamously and you appear to be pretty darn happy.

Consider making Seeley equally happy. He wants to marry you but he's promised not to ask. Once again, he's hoping and waiting that you'll come around.

Temperance, you're not religious. There's nothing wrong with that. Yet you agreed to have your daughter baptized because you knew how much it meant to Seeley. You did it because you loved him.

Perhaps it's time to consider getting hitched. Do you see the two of you raising Christine together? Can you picture you and Seeley working and playing and sharing your lives together well into the future.

I'm sure if you put your brilliant mind to it you could find plenty of perfectly rational reasons why being married makes sense but maybe it's time to let your heart take the lead.

Isn't it time to seriously investigate buying a ring, getting down on one knee and making Seeley Booth the happiest man in the world?

What do you think? Should Brennan propose to Booth?

Bones Quotes

Man, Clark would seem a lot less guilty if he would just cooperate.

Booth: Hey, guys! Guys, listen, I'm going to need some science gibber-gabber to distract these guys!
Brennan: Oh, do you know who's really good at gibber-gabber?
Booth: Who?
Brennan: Me!
Booth: Perfect! My lucky day.
