Elementary Season 2: Rhys Ifans Cast As...

CBS has announced a major piece of Elementary casting news.

Rhys Ifans, best known for his recent role as Dr. Curt Connors in The Amazing Spider-Man, has been cast in the recurring role of Mycroft on the network drama, Sherlock's government-employed brother.

The Elementary Season 2 premiere will air on Thursday, September 26 and be filmed on location in London. It will center on Holmes revisiting an old case in his native country.

While there, the all-knowing detective and Joan will stay with his older brother at 221B Baker Street... despite the Mycroft's major falling out with his sibling years earlier. During this time period, look for Sherlock and Mycroft to attempt and fend the bridge between them.
