Grey's Anatomy Season Premiere to Focus on "Aftermath" of "Rough Birth"

Prepare for some drama, some emotion and some excitement, Grey's Anatomy Fanatics.

In an interview with TV Line, producer Dan Bucatinsky says the two-hour September 26th premiere will pick up on the traumatic events that closed Grey's Anatomy Season 9. Specifically, the "aftermath" of Meredith's much-anticipated delivery.

“She had a rough birth," Bucatinsky says. "We’re going to see them in the hospital together and juggling their roles in a major way.”

Look for the upcoming episode to be “dramatic, emotional and exciting" - as if we'd expect anything different from Shonda Rhimes - and, according to Bucatinsky, for a focus to also be on a few fresh faces.

“We’re going to watch these new interns become part of the fabric of the hospital. That’s going to be part of what’s fun and fresh about this season. We’re going to get to know them better."

ABC announced last month that that Camilla Luddington, Gaius Charles, Jerrika Hinton and Tessa Ferrer have all been upgraded to series regular status for Season 10.
