In case you need a little hint, it involves: Nathan Scott, Haley James, and One Tree Hill Season 1 Episode 8.
So just how did we get to that first epic Naley kiss after Brooke royally screwed things up at the party?
Brooke: What's your idea of your perfect date?
Haley: Watching you get hit by a bus.
Brooke: And a sense of humor. Nathan's really lucky.
The answer would actually be Brooke.
Brooke Davis is not a girl to ever deny her flaws and faults. She knows she screwed up in some ways. And when she woke up in Peyton's bed after another night of blacking out she knew she needed make a change.
I wouldn't so much say it's about karma, although the way she treated pretty much everyone that night wasn't so wonderful...but really girlfriend needed to slow down on the booze. And THANK GOD she did and was sober at that college party.
So One Tree Hill actually premiered when I was a freshman in college and although I didn't watch until later (I know, but I was too wrapped up in Ryan Atwood) this episode was like every pre-college PSA I had engrained into me. The danger of roofies and not guarding your drink.
Can we just take a minute though and acknowledge that the guy popped a roofie out of a blister pack like it was a capsule of Gas-X? No seriously is that how roofies used to be produced and distributed?
So Lucas to the rescue and this is when Lucas got to see the good side of Brooke. And thus the Brucas courting phase began. Some might argue with me, but thinking a chick is hot when she surprises you naked in the back seat of your car doesn't really count as courting.
Across town Nathan and Haley were on their first date set up thanks to Brooke trying to undo her damage. The scavenger hunt was cute. Then Nathan got all douchey when Tim and the team caught them on a date.
Personally if I were Haley I wouldn't have forgiven him so easily. But Haley had her head screwed on a lot better than most of us back in the day so I think we just had to trust her on this right? Except that time she got a tramp stamp. But we'll get to that in due time.
Haley: You know I keep... I keep putting myself out there and you keep blowing it and it's probably a good thing because at this point there is nothing that you can say or do that's gonna surprise me.
Nathan: (kisses her)
Haley: Except that. You shouldn't have done that, Nathan.
Nathan: But I wanted to.
Haley: Yeah.
With that kiss outside of the James household, a beautiful love affair began: Naley.
So was that kiss epic of what?
