Hannibal Lands Richard Armitage as The Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy has landed!
The big bad from the novel Red Dragon, the first of the Hannibal series, has been cast. Richard Armitage will play Francis Dolarhyde, who tends to murder entire families. Oh, what a sweetheart!
Armitage has been snagged to appear in six episodes of Hannibal Season 3 as Dolarhyde, who gets his nickname – The Tooth Fairy – courtesy of his abnormally large and sharp teeth with which he takes bites out of his victims' bodies. That sounds like something that would appeal greatly to Dr. Lector
It will be interesting to see how Dolarhyde fits into the narrative since in Red Dragon Hannibal is already in the Baltimore State Forensic Hospital for the Criminally Insane and idolized by Dolarhyde.
It was previously announced Gillian Anderson was upgraded to series regular this season and Joe Anderson replaced Michael Pitt as Mason Verger. The new season has yet to be scheduled.
