It all came down to Top Chef Season 12 Episode 15.
The finale of a fun, Boston-based season found two contestants being surprised by an early morning hot air balloon ride over the city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
From there, their ultimate showdown including the task of creating the most outstanding four-course menu of their lives.
Each chef took a contrasting menu approach, though they both faced cooking missteps and nerves along the way. As was to be expected, right?
The chef who overcame these pressure and served the most inspired dishes would win the grand prize: a feature in FOOD & WINE Magazine, an appearance at the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, $125,000 furnished by Healthy Choice, and the title of Top Chef.
