Angela Bassett is staying with family.
Bassett is one of seven cast members who have previously appeared American Horror Story in some fashion, whether as a series regular or in a guest role.
Bassett was in American Horror Story Season 3, Coven, and American Horror Story Season 4, Freak Show.
Other announced American Horror Story: Hotel cast members include Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulsen, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Cheyenne Jackson and Chloe Sevigny.
We know the season will once again film in Los Angeles, unlike the previous two seasons which were filmed in New Orleans, and will take place inside a frightening hotel. We also know Jessica Lange will not be a part of the cast.
