Is Charles really dead?
Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 4 toyed with the idea of him being dead, but considering the way it ended, Charles seems to be very much alive.
Sure, the show could be sending us on a wild goose chase, only to reveal that he is gone and that A is the big bad and is separate to the troubled DiLaurentis sibling, but that would just be a cop out, right?
It was excellent that we all ruled Charles as Jason's twin, when in actual fact, he was born eighteen months prior. The internet has been on fire recently with all of the twin theories, so it was a good idea to quash these rumors after so long. One theory I have is that if Sara is Charles, is that Charles transitioned to her when when he was 16 and that's why the records at Radley stopped when Charles was 16.
It was a bit surreal to think that all of the Radley files would just be conveniently left with minimum security, effectively making them easy to obtain by anyone.
After kicking up the pace in Pretty Little Liars Season 6 Episode 3, this hour was rather disappointing. A returned into the fold, and it didn't work really well. I will say that the flashbacks were a good choice to include, giving us further insight into why our liars have been on edge since making their great escape.
Spencer is on a dark journey, and it doesn't look like there is light at the end of the tunnel for her. She's officially back on the drugs, and this spells trouble. Her mother won't react in the best way when she inevitably finds out. Spencer's room will be similar to the dollhouse; she'll never be allowed to leave it.
Charles must have put fake blood in there to make you think you hurt one of us.Hanna
That said, the girl is struggling to cope, and who can blame her? The ordeal she and her friends went through, and the subsequent uncertainty about whether she killed someone, is enough to make anyone go a little crazy.
I don't know why the scene with A tracking the girls was included. Considering how A has been popping up on them from the beginning of the series, this did not come as a surprise.
Caleb and Hanna have hit another rough patch, but is it for the best? At this moment in time, it's a resounding yes. Caleb is smothering her, which is perfectly understandable. Hanna needs her own time to deal with what happened to her, and Caleb is just putting trackers on her, left, right and center. Anyone would think he was A, right? Let's not get into that. He's not.
Kenneth really never gave much away. I expected so much more, but the same could be said for my expectations for the show. I like that we are getting answers, but they are being spoon fed to us at this point. This half season could have been a thriller from start to finish, but it just seems like one episode is good, while the next just stalls completely out of nowhere.
It was rather twisted to think that Mrs DiLaurentis had Charles hiding in aunt Carol's house and turned Jason away at the door when he really needed help. Charles seems like he was her favorite and Jason was the middle child.
Sara continued to get crazier, if that was even possible. Mrs Fields comment about her on the roof gazing at the stars was just plain weird. I'm not enjoying this storyline. We all know it will either be brushed to the side, or made more prominent because she is A.
"Don't Look Now" lacked suspense and this show excels with suspense, so this hour wasn't the best. We need the show to stay consistent to keep us on our toes waiting for the conclusion.
