Under the Dome Season 3 Episode 10 Review: Legacy

What the hell is going on in Chester's Mill?

On Under the Dome Season 3 Episode 10, Hector and other members of Aktion made their presence felt in town as they joined forces with Jim, but it became clear both parties had different agendas for what they wanted to happen to that pesky dome.

I'd like to point out that we got proof that time really does pass in the town. Gone is the very annoying "three weeks ago," and we are now being greeted with "four weeks ago." I feel like we're actually getting somewhere now that the powers that be have acknowledged that time is moving.

There's not a chance in hell that all of the drama we've endured for three seasons has happened in such a short space of time.

Julia had better stop standing by Barbie. It's going to get her killed. Even after everything he's put her through this summer, she still chooses to see the best in him, even when he's doing downright sketchy things. Like, why is she even bothering? You can't love someone after four weeks, can you?

As much as I enjoyed the lack of Christine, Eva's appearance in the final third of the hour was tedious. If anyone watched anything on CBS this week, you'd have witnessed the gazillion promos for this week's episode, which spoiled a key development. I don't quite understand the how, or the why, but twelve girls were sacrificed in order for Eva to have her baby. Pity Eva wasn't banished to some hell dimension off screen.

Let's chat a bit about Norrie. The chick has been one of the weaker characters on the show, but it looks like she is developing into the badass we all know she could be from the get go. She finally took a life, and it will probably have some adverse effect on her throughout the remainder of the season. She should rest easy knowing that she saved Julia's life.

One thing I realized during the hour was that Julia's hair hasn't changed at all since the premiere. Is she finding time to use her curling irons while being on the run from Christine and the kinship? This is one of the most burning questions on the show at this stage, so an answer would be good!

Back to Jim and his frenemy, Hector. I never thought there would be someone who would want to keep the dome up, but that's happening right now. After Hector came clean about Patrick (If you can call it that! He did leave some details out), we saw him speaking with Billie on the porch as she contemplated the dome coming down, and he quickly cut her off saying they need to keep it up.

If you read updates on the show from TCA, you'll probably know whether their plan will work right about now, so I'm not too bothered about it. It's just odd that people would want to keep the crazy dome up!

"Legacy" wasn't the best installment, but it sure as hell wasn't anywhere near as bad as some of the drivel thrown our way this season. There's always a silver lining, right? There are three more hours left, and I want to see the action kicked up a few gears and some more answers before the show signs off. Don't hold out hope for a fourth season. The ratings have hit series lows pretty much all summer, so unless Amazon is paying CBS a lot of dollars, the show will be ending soon.
