M*A*S*H Star Wayne Rogers Dead at 82

Wayne Rogers, best known for his role as Captain "Trapper" John, MD, on the long-running series M*A*S*H, has died.
He was suffering from pneumonia according to Deadline, when he lost his fight at the age of 82.
Rogers starred as Trapper John from 1972-75, leaving the role after tiring of playing second fiddle to Alan Alda's Hawkeye Pierce. Trapper left the series and Hawkeye got a new second banana.
As for Rogers, he went on to star in another series, House Calls, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Dr. Charley Michaels.
More recently, Rogers began appearing as a panel member on various Fox Business News program due to his success with the stock and real estate markets.
Rogers is survived by his current wife, Amy Hirsch, two children and several grandchildren.
