The Flash / Supergirl Crossover? It's Happening!

at .

It's always been a dream to have the superheroes from the DC universe together at some point, but logistics are tricky.

Apparently, nothing is that tricky when at least one of your heroes can cross into different dimensions (no kidding, that's how it will work in the crossover).

Grant Gustin and The Flash will officially appear in Supergirl with Melissa Benoist on Monday, March 28. Hey, they'd done it already on the cover of Variety, why not on TV, too?

If you're expecting details, however, you're going to have to wait.

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl,” said Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg in a statement.

“We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out.

And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

There are no plans for this to be a two-way crossover at this point as Supergirl is the more expensive show to produce.

Does this get your juices flowing, comics fans? Will those of you who don't watch Supergirl tune into the March 28 installment to see The Flash do his thing? Let us know in the comments!

The Flash Quotes

Ramsey: You know, I don't understand you Barry. You march towards death without fear, just like mum. Where is it you get your strength?
Barry: Probably the same place she did, people I love.

Where I came from, I was a speedster like you. They called me The Flash.
