After premiering lower than the already canceled Wicked City, ABC has pulled the plug on its Biblical drama Of Kings and Prophets.
The series was originally planned for a fall 2016 launch, but after the upfronts was pulled for recasting and other tweaks.
The drama was apparently a favorite of former ABC President Paul Lee, which could be why instead of just pulling the pilot as Fox did for their sweeping saga Hieroglyph a few years ago and calling it a wash, they pushed to make it work.
In the end, they wound up with a Biblical drama the Parents Television Council considered to sexually graphic and violent for families to watch and apparently not of interest to the masses.
If you watched, we'd sure be interested in hearing your thoughts!
