With ABC pulling the plug on Castle after eight seasons, it's time for its very talented cast to move on.
And Jon Huertas, who played Detective Javier Esposito on the hit drama, is the first to officially land a new show.
According to Deadline, Huertas will be back on our screens this fall as he joins NBC’s This Is Us.
This Is Us is a dramedy from Dan Fogelman in which several characters share the same birthday and find that their lives intersect in curious ways.
This unique ensemble stars Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes, Gilmore Girls), Justin Hartley (The Young and the Restless) and Sterling K. Brown (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story).
NBC describes the show as a “refreshingly honest and provocative series” that will “challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know.”
Huertas will join the cast in the recurring role of Mike, the best friend and co-worker to Milo Ventimiglia’s character Jack.
The series is also a three boxes of tissues kind of dramedy.
It's one you don't want to miss!
This Is Us premieres Tuesday, September 20th, at 10/9c, but will then move to its regular timeslot at 9/8c beginning October 11th.
Check out the first trailer for This is Us below.
The trailer mind you, which has already made headlines.
It's been watched by millions. Double digit millions.
The kind of audience saved for blockbuster movies like Star Wars millions.
If the actual show gets that kind of curious audience tuning in for even one episode, and even a quarter of the people stick around for more, it will have a real hit on its hands.
Will you tune in to watch This is Us when it debuts?
Let us know your thoughts in the comments! We'd love to hear from you.
