T.R. Knight is going home.

Well, sort of.

The former Grey's Anatomy actor will be snuggling back into the Shondaland fold when he takes a recurring role on The Catch Season 2.

The Catch is executive produced by Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and showrunner Allan Heinberg,

The Catch revolves around Alice Vaughan (Mireille Enos), a strong-willed forensics accountant and the man who did her wrong, Benjamin Jones (Peter Krause).

Of course, there is no word on who Knight will be playing on the series, but we've become accustomed to that with Shondaland productions.

With news of Knight returning home, it's hard to really care what part he's playing, right?

“Shonda, Betsy and I are beyond excited to have T.R. back in the Shondaland family — and on “The Catch” in a role the was created and written especially for him,” said Heinberg.

“This has been a thrilling secret to keep!,” Rhimes said in a statement. “One of my favorite family members is home!”

“Working with Shonda, Betsy, and Allan again fills me with immense joy,” said Knight of joining The Catch.

“I am heartened to be returning to Shondaland and excited to work with this exceptional cast!”

For those of us who miss him so dearly at Grey's Anatomy, it's been over seven years since he departed.

The story of George O'Malley came to an abrupt end when he joined the service and wound up as a uniformed patient in his own ER after saving a life in the street.

As the friends he knew so well worked steadfastly to save the hero in their midst, it wasn't until the very end it all came together.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house when it was revealed George O'Malley was the heroic serviceman they had been so valiantly trying to save.

Honestly, it still gets to us today. It's unforgettable, as is T.R. Knight!

Most recently, Knight was seen on Hulu's 11/22/63 historical drama with James Franco, and he previously had a role on The Good Wife Season 4.

Will Knight's addition to The Catch make you more likely to tune in?
