at .

We have a lot of casting news and even something a bit smelly to talk about. Really!

Jay Harrington joins Code Black Season 2 in a key recurring role as the most respected neurosurgeon in Los Angeles, Dr. Leo Fields.

Word is, Fields will be forced to operate on one of the major characters.

Forced sure is a strong word. Will it be Mike, or will someone else on staff suffer from a head injury?

Jay H Code B

Harrington is known for his comedy on the brilliant but canceled too soon Better Off Ted and more recently Benched and Hot in Cleveland.

He joins other Season 2 newbies including Rob Lowe, Noah Gray-Cabey, Emily Tyra and Kathleen Rose Perkins.

De Niro Moore

Amazon has scored the rights to the upcoming Robert De Niro/Julianne Moore series.

According to Deadline, the series, a drama, possibly about the mafia, is written by David O. Russell, and has received a two-season order of eight episodes each.

G Cole G Fight

Gary Cole will be continuing his fan favorite role from The Good Wife as the husband of Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski), Kurt McVeigh, on the spinoff, The Good Fight.

While there aren't any story details, he'll be a recurring character on the new series, which will air on CBS All Access and follow Diane and Lucca (Cush Jumbo) when the move to a new firm after Diane has serious trouble at her former firm.

As The Good Wife ended, Diane discovered Kurt had engaged in an extramarital affair, so the status of their marriage at the point of the new series, which picks up months later, is up in the air.

The plot is starting to sound a bit more similar to the mother ship, though, isn't it?

D Roberts A Crime

In related news, Dallas Roberts, who played Alicia's brother on The Good Wife, has signed on to star opposite Felicity Huffman on American Crime Season 3.

The upcoming season will explore labor issues, economic divides and individual rights in North Carolina. North Carolina certainly has been a political hot button as of late.

Roberts will be Carson Hesby, husband to Huffman's Jeanette Hesby.

Goldberg Spinoff

Deadline reports that Bryan Callen, who breathes life into The Goldberts school gym teacher/coach Rick Mellor, will be starring in a potential spinoff for ABC.

It would be set in the 1990s, and center on two teachers (including the coach) who become father figures for the three children of the school secretary.

The Goldbergs is currently in its fourth season and a solid performer for ABC, so it's no surprise the network is working to capitalize on the hit at this point.

Empire Truth
Empire Legacy

Have you always wanted to smell like a Lyon? Good news! HSN is launching an Empire fragrance on November 16, Truth for the ladies and Legacy for the gentlemen. Kaitlin Doubleday, who played Rhonda, will be there to show off the wares.

The women's perfume, Truth, is a soft floral blend mixed with blackberry and velvet plum with hints of Bulgarian rose, vanilla orchid and violet blossom. The scent also has notes of creamy sandalwood, rich vanilla and soft tonka that provide a most sensual base.

Legacy, the sophisticated men's cologne, is a masculine scent that opens with a sparkling blend of bergamot and lemon water with an atomic heart of lavender buds, crisp geranium and clary sage. This fragrance has a drydown enriched with dark mysterious notes of warm amber, vanilla suede and tobacco leaf.

Really. Can you think of a more excellent way to end a news day? I sure couldn't!
