No Tomorrow Season 1 Episode 6 Review: No Debts Remain Unpaid

No Tomorrow really shocked me with the way they tackled Kareema's story and the future that it could have.
No Tomorrow Season 1 Episode 6 had Xavier in a difficult situation when his credit card no longer got him all the stuff he could ever want, along with Evie focused on her parent's relationship. There was also Hank and Deirdre trying to make their relationship work with not much in common.
Kareema's romantic twist was everything I could have wanted and more. She started to like Sophia and effortlessly went down the love struck path that we are all very familiar with. It was wonderful to see her biggest issue being the fact that the girl she likes is with someone else, not that she likes a girl in general.
It's hideous. We'll take it.
Xavier
I didn't think they would go there, but they did and now we get to see a new side to Kareema, one that involves feelings. And the way she struggles with them is exactly what I hope to see more of.
Kareema and Sophia are an interesting dynamic, but I'm stuck between wanting them to be together and wanting Kareema on good terms with her family.
My biggest hope is to see Kareema happy, which would be great in all aspects of her life. The more we see of her, the more I want to see of her the next time around.
Kareema was a shining light in this episode, but it's only a matter of time before Sophia being so unavailable gets to be too much. Those two need to figure things out before they like each other even more, or maybe Kareema should just clue her brother in?
They could be reading your lips, talk without moving them.
Hank
Deidre and Hank continue to surprise me. It's like they take the typical parts of a couple and go crazy with it.
Hank wants to find something in common with his new girlfriend, which somehow becomes noises?
I mean, I don't know about you, but the first thing that would come to my mind when planning a bonding experience would not be noises. But then again, I'm no Deirdre.
They manage to make it work, and I really don't know what I will do if those crazy kids break up. They are my must have at this point io the show so their wild adventures only cement how cool they are to me.
The next thing they tackle should be a double date with Fern and Timothy, or maybe Evie and Xavier?
Wow that is sad on so many levels, that it's happening, that you're happy about it.
Kareema
Speaking of Timothy and Fern, we didn't see too much of them, but something tells me that things are about to get a little bit out of control.
Fern wasn't around, so there's no real proof that she has much up her sleeve when it comes to dating Timothy, but she also knew who he was before swiping. If this was all a plan to mess with Evie, Fern really knows what she's doing when it comes to revenge.
But Timothy is the one that will suffer, and that just won't do. Please leave Timothy alone. He deserves all the happiness in the world, and he isn't getting it!
Timothy doesn't have much of a story so far. He's in the background and sometimes inches a little bit closer but not enough.
He lost Evie and all he wants is a healthy relationship. Is that too much to ask for?
Find out what she's into and then also be into it.
Timothy
Xavier's struggles were probably relatable, but I just wasn't feeling it.
I was kind of shocked that it took them this long to take all the stuff away. He doesn't even have a job to pay for it all!
His little reveal about his past and his father might hold some more significance, but it fell flat this time around. That might have been because the build up didn't lead to them actually meeting.
Maybe once we actually meet this mysterious father and see his dynamic with his son I could actually get invested.
Xavier is shaped by his past, so his relationship with his father is another puzzle piece that explains how he stumbled upon this end of the world concept.
His father must think something of it, which would be great to see since Xavier only had one family member in his life so far that we could gain some perspective from.
She did say once that she likes noises, I just need to figure out which ones.
Hank
Evie trying to help her family was a change from what we usually see when it comes to her. She had to repay them and what better way than to fix their marriage.
We've only really seen Evie's family in small doses, but it's nice to see that her list included people in her life as well.
I'm not sure where Evie could go from here, but the fact that this episode didn't include her fighting with Xavier was refreshing.
That's what warms me up more to the idea of those two really making it work down the line. Sometimes their biggest issue won't be their relationship. It's when they work together on different plans that I remember their partnership is worth watching.
Evie and Xavier had enough disagreements to last a lifetime. What they haven't had enough of is working together on their random schemes.
