Empire: Renewed for Season 4!

The Lyons are not going anywhere.

Ranking as TV's number one drama has a whole lot of perks.

Fox announced at the TCA winter press tour that the show would be back for an 18-episode fourth season during the 2017-2018 TV season.

Lyon Family - Empire

The soapy drama has continued to dip in the ratings this season.

Empire Season 3 is currently averaging 8.7 million viewers and a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49.

These figures represent a decline of almost 30 percent.

However, it's still a force to be reckoned with when delayed viewing is added in.

Empire Season 3 has successfully managed to return the show to its roots after the mediocre Empire Season 2.

If you watch Empire online, I'm sure we can all agree that it was below par when compared to Empire Season 1

Lucious Lyon is as treacherous as ever this year.

He seems to be back together with Anika, who played a key role in killing off Rhonda Lyon.

Cookie Is Taken Off Guard - Empire

The family has been struggling to keep things together with Tariq closing in on them, so the rest of the season will center on the family as they try to find a way to get rid of all of their enemies.

Andre Lyon, however, appears to have went over to the dark side and wants to take control of the company for himself and Nessa.

Using the Hack - Empire

It's kind of the same way he acted at the beginning of the series when he was vying for control.

Meanwhile, Cookie has been getting closer and closer to Angelo and he's definitely a much better man than Lucious ever was.

Cookie and Angelo - Empire Season 3 Episode 9

It remains to be seen just how the family will get rid of their enemies and if they will figure out that Andre has been working against them.

Would Lucious really kill off one of his sons?

He has been close to it before, after all.

The Investigation - Empire

If Lucious feels betrayed, he has no compunction with letting his family know that.

Be sure to check out Empire when it returns on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
