TV Ratings Report: Scripted Suffers on a Warm Night

Let's see what television goodness came our way on one of the warmest nights of spring so far.
People will stay indoors to watch other people with talent, whether they be former stars or stars in the making.
That's the lesson of April 17, 2017.
On ABC, two hours of Dancing with the Stars rewarded the network with a 1.7 in the 8pm hour and a 1.8 in the 9pm hour from the coveted 18-49 demo. Adults 15-54 added five tenths in their group.
Dancing with the Stars was up a tenth in the first hour and two-tenths the second from its ratings in the previous week.
Quantico couldn't even hold onto half of that audience in the 10pm hour, with a paltry 0.6, but held steady on the week. Ouch.
Over on CBS, Kevin Can Wait, Man with a Plan, Superior Donuts and 2 Broke Girls all delivered 1.0 and Scorpion added a tenth with 1.1.
While their schedule was steady throughout the night, Kevin Can Wait and Superior Donuts both lost two-tenths from last week, and Scorpion added a tenth from its previous outing.
The Voice on NBC dominated the night with 2.0 from 8-10pm, and 2.8 from the 25-54 crowd. People do love to dream of success, but a little less than last week, when they loved it a tenth of a rating point more.
Taken dropped over a whole point at 10pm with 0.9, up a tenth from last week, and that was still above the rest of the scripted fare on for the night besides comedies and Scorpion if that says anything.
Fox aired another disappointing hour of 24: Legacy at 8pm with 0.8 and APB with 0.6, exactly the same as last week.
The CW aired repeats of Supergirl at 8pm and Penn & Teller: Fool Us at 9pm, both with 0.2, both holding steady from last week's repeats. Maybe they can just sent the network home on repeat Mondays.
