American Horror Story Season 7: Which Former Character Is Returning?

at .  Updated at .

Looks like the mass secrecy that surrounded American Horror Story Season 6 is not extending to Season 7.

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Instagram to announce the return of a much-loved character from American Horror Story Season 4.

AHS Twisty

"He's Baaaaaack," Murphy shared with his followers.

The character in question is Twisty The Clown, and we're freaking the hell out about the news.

If you watch American Horror Story online, you will already know that Twisty's story was not entirely fleshed out and that there was still much left to tell.

He was one of the most intriguing parts of Freak Show, so it should be interesting to find out what the heck he is doing in this latest nightmare for the characters.

American Horror Story Season 4 was set in 1952, and the new season is set to be a Present Day tale, so we have no idea how the villain is going to show up.

As previously reported, the seventh season of the series will have an Election theme, but aside from that, the rest of the plot details have been left under wraps.

The Countess - American Horror Story

Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes and Alison Pill are all slated to appear.

It has been confirmed that Lady Gaga will not be returning for the upcoming season due to her tour commitments, but she has not ruled out working with Murphy and his team again.

Murphy has released teaser pictures of some of the characters from the new edition of the series.

Colton Haynes AHS

He used the above picture to reveal Colton Haynes was boarding the series for an undisclosed role.

Meanwhile, he used the below picture to confirm Scream Queens star, Billie Lourd was part of the series.

As always, we are very excited to find out what's coming next for the franchise, and we can't wait to watch the new season later this year.
