Stranger Things Season 2: New Premiere Date Announced!

The long wait for Season 2 of Stranger things just got a little easier.

Netflix announced today that the hit drama series will actually return October 27.

That's four days earlier than the original October 31 launch date that was revealed in a Super Bowl teaser earlier this year.

Getting the series a few days earlier will likely be welcomed with open arms by fans of the addictive series which stands as one of the most successful series yet to come from the streaming giant.

A poster for the sophomore run was also unveiled, and it does not give much away.

It shows the kids presumably making their way to Hawkins, and a scary creature high in the sky causing a whole lot of drama.

Eleven is nowhere in sight, but it's evident she will be returning, so we don't need to worry about that.

The official synopsis for the new run of episodes is scarce in the way of information, but it certainly sets the tone up well.

It reads “It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”

Sounds ominous, right?

As you probably recall, Will was rescued, but it seemed like his ordeal was far from over.

There will be new faces joining the mysterious drama series for Season 2: Paul Reiser (Mad About You), Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings), Will Chase (Nashville), Sadie Sink (American Odyssey), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers) and Linnea Berthelsen.

Something tells us they will find themselves in a lot of trouble with the demagorgon when they appear in the town of Hawkins.

The series became an instant hit when it debuted on July 15, 2016.

Viewers connected with the well-written characters, the first class acting, the fantastic score, and the riveting storyline.
