Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 14 Episode 5 Review: Catch Me If You Cannes

It's about time the Kardashians use their power to bring light to some issues affecting the world.
On Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 14 Episode 5, Kourtney deals with the media circus around Scott being spotted with Bella Thorne, while Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim take a trip to Planned Parenthood after learning the government plans to defund the organization.
I think we should go there and educate ourselves because I want to have a stance.

For all of the attention the Kardashians and Jenners get, they haven't really used said power (on social media especially) for any life-changing matters until recently.
So seeing the girls talk about Planned Parenthood (even though it's months after the government announced they would be defunding the organization), we can see they're starting to use their powers to stand up for causes they believe in.
They could be real-life superheroes with all the power they wield for doing absolutely nothing if they decided to tackle, you know, something.

The conversation where Kim brings up the news and talks about educating herself on PP is a mess though. Kourtney literally could not have cared less.
Eating her salad was more important to her than discussing the organization that provides life-saving healthcare to millions of women and men.
It's a bit surprising to see Kourtney so disinterested given her children and being the oldest Kardashian child, so she wasn't always in the spotlight as she is now.

Given all of the crap Kim Kardashian has put up with since her sex tape was released against her will, it would have been easy to deduce she would be the one disinterested because involving herself with an organization like this would get her nothing but more hate.
Instead, it was Kim's idea, and she didn't really need any media attention at the moment this occurred, so we can presume it was from her heart and not for good press.
Scott was photographed last night with Bella [Thorne].

Kourt's lack of interest could just be the result of the media exploding with photos of Scott and Bella Thorne. Just when we forgot about the circus that consumed the internet for a few days, Keeping Up with the Kardashians brings it back.
Scott is a giant mess. Shame on the show for giving him a platform that only fuels his downward spiral. The attention he receives from the media, and his still having a role on the show, is what prevents him from making progress.
Not to mention the fact his children are going to grow up and see what a pathetic mess he became. Threatening Kourtney's friends, being spotted with a new girl every week, it's disgusting.
Scott shouldn't have the access he does when this family has to know what it is doing to him and his mental state. Scott has been at rock bottom since 2014, so why is he still being included on the series when all he does is make Kourtney's life hell?
Where are all those who slut-shamed Kim after her sex tape and after her short-lived marriage? Why isn't Scott being called out for his behavior, which is far worse than Kim ever was?
The most useless part of the episode had to be Khloe's trip to the DMV. It's so classic Kardashian to bring a lighting ring with you to get your photo taken for your driver's license; however, it was a welcome break from the Scott drama.
I do think it’s inappropriate for her to talk to you and not to me.

Let's discuss Kim's assistant crisis and how the girls treated this.
First, it was pretty lame of Kourt to go to Kim with what her assistant said when Stephanie is supposed to be, like, her best friend.
Who cares who you work for or who your family is, if your best friend tells you something like that, you don't rat them out? Instead, why don't you encourage them to discuss this with your sister?
Whatever. For usually being the dramatic sister, Kim handled the situation well after some advice from her sisters. Stephanie ended up being promoted, but the strain in her relationship with Kourtney is already there, so that friendship must be headed for disaster.
It's very cool of Kim to offer Stephanie a promotion and acknowledge all of the hard work she's put in to being her assistant. Not many bosses would do so, especially after hearing their employee feels unfulfilled with the work they're being given.
As for Kim being weirded out by Kourtney's relationship with Stephanie. Girl, your entire family's dynamic is weird. Weird should just be a part of your daily routine, and rather than make things even weirder, accept it and move on.
Going forward, we should see more of the dynamic between Kim and her employees because it is more interesting than watching her play with her kids or eat salad with her sisters.
Her career spans over so many different mediums that her employees all must have different complaints and needs, and since Kimoji and her app are so big, why don't we see behind-the-scenes on the work going into it?
