9-1-1 has cast a new firefighter, and he's sure to get hearts racing.
Per Deadline, Ryan Guzman has landed a series regular role on the Fox drama's second season.
No other details have been revealed about the character, but we're sure we will get more intel as we get closer to Season 2's debut.
9-1-1 follows the lives of police officers, paramedics, and firefighters who are put in life or death situations with every single accident they are tasked with attending.
The cast is led by Peter Krause, Angela Bassett, Aisha Hinds, Oliver Stark, Kenneth Choi and Rockmond Dubar, who are all expected to return for Season 2.
Connie Britton who appeared as a series regular on 9-1-1 Season 1 has no deal in place to return, but there's a possibility she could appear as a guest star to help wrap up her story.
If you watch 9-1-1 online, you will already know that Britton's character Abby opted to make some changes in her life after losing someone close to her, and that led to the end of her relationship with Buck.
It was also announced earlier this month that Jennifer Love Hewitt will join the cast as Maddie Buckley, a 911 operator and the sister of Buck.
Guzman is no stranger to the small screen and has had roles in Pretty Little Liars, Heroes Reborn, and Notorious.
9-1-1 was a breakout hit for Fox. It averaged 6.3 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in live + same day measures, but with delayed viewing, the demo tally swells all the way up to a 3.0 rating.
Fox recently announced the show will move to Mondays at 9/8c in the fall and will lead out of fellow high stakes drama, The Resident.
