Alexis Carrington 2.0 is here to stay.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Nicollette Sheridan has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular for Dynasty Season 2.
The scene stealer first appeared as Alexis on The CW drama back in March, and I think we can all agree, that's when the show got really good.
The rebooted version of Dynasty may have some big deviations from the original series, but there's no denying that Alexis is not one of the best characters up there with Fallon.
The tremendous power struggle between the mother and daughter was a highlight of the final episodes of Dynasty Season 1, and we I can't wait to see what crazy schemes she cooks up next season.
If you watch Dynasty online, you will already know that Alexis' fate was left up in the air on Dynasty Season 1 Episode 22 as the character grew a conscience and set out to save Cristal's life.
Alexis locked Cristal in a room in the upstairs in the mansion after the newest Mrs. Carrington uncovered Alexis' wicked plan to get control of Carrington Atlantic.
However, unbeknownst to Alexis, a blast from the past showed up in between the fire starting, and the person shot Cristal, leaving her to die, before presumably setting the house on fire.
Dynasty is Sheridan's big return to broadcast TV following her five-year role on ABC's Desperate Housewives.
The CW gave Dynasty the go-ahead for Season 2 last month after a season of woeful ratings. A lucrative Netflix deal is said to have saved the series from cancellation.
If you're looking for a light series that is heavy on the soapy twists, then Dynasty may be the perfect show to add to your watch list for the summer.
