SIX Season 2 Episode 8 Review: Scorpions in a Bottle

Look who has the upper hand now.
Michael Nasry proved his worth to the Prince on SIX Season 2 Episode 8 proving that Gina and Bear made the wrong choice.
They both need to pay for their stupidity.
There's always the possibility that Nasry might give Gina two gifts -- that of the Prince and the kidnapped American -- but the chances of that happening are nil. He has no desire to help the Americans. This was part of his plan all along, and Gina fell right into his trap.
Michael likes to gamble, and he almost lost his life making the biggest gamble of his life, but did anyone really doubt that Michael would win the game?
The only reason he didn't kill the Prince when he had the chance was that he's going to make Gina and the SEALs pay.

He's going to tease Gina with the idea that she's going to get what she wanted (the Prince) and a bonus prize (the kidnapped American. Somehow she's going to convince the higher-ups to let her take the SEALs back to Chechnya to pick up her prizes.
They're all in for a rude awakening.
I don't know how it's all going to end, but it isn't going to be a happy ending.
Michael's video chat to Marissa was just enough to push her past the point of no return. She didn't have the guts to kill Buddha at the gas station, but now that she has talked to Michael, her demented mind won't be able to focus on anything else.
Its a toss up whether Buddha will be in town when Marissa comes to slaughter his family. Buddha's time might come when Michael lures them all back to Chechnya.
Who knows? Michael might be cruel enough to tie them all up and force them to watch as Marissa kills them all. Jackie. The kids. Lena. Dharma.
Buddha: I still think you made the wrong call.
Bear: You get your own team, you make your own calls.
Bear and Gina put everyone in grave danger because of selfish reasons.
Gina did it to avenge her lover's death. Bear jumped on Gina's train to make himself feel like he was a true leader. They're both losers.
Selfishness is the only reason Bear wanted Caulder back. He wants support because deep down he knows that Buddha is right. He figures with Caulder there, it'll take some of the pressure off him because Caulder can act as a barrier between him and the rest of the guys.
Think about it. Bear has some serious stuff to hold over Caulder's head. Bear can make or break Caulder's SEAL career, and he's desperate enough to turn on his best friend if need be.
That's just the kind of guy Bear is whether you want to hear it or not. It's the truth.

There are no redeeming qualities left in the guy and for the leader of the team (and star of the show) to fall that hard is pathetic. When he goes down, Gina needs to go with him. They make the perfect, miserable pair.
Even though he's the biggest moron on the face of the earth, he should take solace in the fact that, although the rest of the guys don't agree with him and his choices, they're still respectful of the team and haven't turned against him -- yet.
Buddha could have spilled it all in the Commander's office but decided against it. After the confrontation with Bear in the hallway afterward, he should have marched right back in that office and told the Commander everything, but loyalty runs deep with Buddha, and that's the only reason he didn't.
Buddha's time will come. He's not going to tolerate much more from Bear. And the rest of the team won't either.
Caulder isn't going to make it through the next battle so that Bear won't have any help from him. When Caulder dies, I hope that Bear has nightmares for the rest of his life because Caulder dying in the field is all on him.
That's my prediction. Caulder isn't making it, people. It's not going to happen. And I bet he won't even tell Dharma he's going on the next mission because he knows she'll do something or say something to someone to prevent him from going.
By the time she finds out, it will be too late.
Not only will Bear have destroyed his marriage, but he'll also have destroyed a new budding relationship between a daughter and her long-lost dad.
But maybe Bear's foray into the dark side with the bottle and a woman other than Lena will have been enough to wake him up. Maybe he'll make killing Nasry his number one goal when the team returns to Chechnya. But it's a big maybe, and I have no faith that Bear will ever see the light.
All we can hope is that Michael is stopped before things get too bloody.
