The ratings for Wednesday are in and there was some good news for ABC's Modern Family.
Modern Family Season 10 Episode 5 which featured the highly anticipated death of a character perked up two-tenths to a 1.5 rating (5.2 million total viewers).
The Goldbergs (5 million/1.3 rating), Single Parents (3.8 million/1.1 rating) and American Housewife (4.4 million/1.1 rating) were also up a little, while A Million Little Things (3.5 million/0.8 rating) held steady.
Over on The CW, Riverdale (1.4 million/0.5 rating) and All American (0.8 million/0.3 rating) each inched up a tenth, with the latter posting a series high in the demo.
Survivor (7.4 million/1.4 rating), SEAL Team (5.4 million/0.8 rating), and Criminal Minds (4.3 million/0.7 rating) were steady opposite the 2018 World Series.
The World Series (11.3 million/2.8 rating) itself was on the downside, slipping 18 percent in the demo.
NBC's rotation of Chicago Med (7.8 million/1.3 rating), Chicago P.D. (6.7 million/1.2 rating) and Chicago Fire (7.7 million/1.3 rating) remained a solid option.
