Dr. Jim Raman, a former star of CBS reality series, The Amazing Race has died at 42.

The orthodontist died on Monday, according to an obituary posted by the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home.

USA Today is reporting that deputies attended Raman's home he shared with his wife, Misti, on Tuesday morning where he was found dead.

There's no word on his cause of death, which the website is saying unclear.

However, a statement to USA Today from Lexington County Sheriff's Department Capt. Adam Myrick said that "no one has been arrested or detained in connection with this (death) investigation."

"We aren't seeking any suspects or persons of interest as our work on the case continues."

Jim appeared alongside his wife, Misti on The Amazing Race Season 25, which aired in 2014.

They quickly emerged as a force to be reckoned with on their season. Known as the Married Dentists, the show came in first place in five of the season's 12 legs.

Following their success on the reality series,  they worked at Irmo Smiles, a dental practice in South Carolina.

The company confirmed the news of Jim’s passing in a statement of its own:

Irmo Smiles has suffered a tragic loss this week.
