Jennifer Morrison is returning to the world of medicine for her latest role.
The former House and Once Upon a Time star has landed the lead role on CBS pilot Under the Bridge, according to THR.
"When a scandal rocks the medical practice she runs with her husband and their friends, a surgeon rises to the occasion and takes the lead in trying to mend both the practice and her own marriage," according to the logline from Deadline.
Morrison is attached to play the role of Caitlin Lancaster, a surgeon who is forced to return to her job early after taking a sabbatical when her husband is voted out of the medical practice they helped create with their friends.
It's a perfect set-up for a series, and with Morrison leading the cast, the script would have to come in really bad for it not to work.
The series comes from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Rina Mimoun will write the script for Under the Bridge and executive produce alongside Bruckheimer.
Morrison is probably best known for her role as Emma Swan on ABC's Once Upon a Time. She was a series regular on the fantasy drama for its first six seasons.
However, she did return for two episodes during the show's seventh and final season, wrapping Swan's storyline up in the process.
Aside from House, and Once Upon a Time, Morrison has also appeared on How I Met Your Mother.
Her most recent role was in the feature Sun Dogs. She also directed the film. It marked her directorial debut.
We think it's fair to say she's kept busy since her stint on Once Upon a Time came to an end.
Under the Bridge joins drama pilots Courthouse, Evil, FBI: Most Wanted, Frankenstein, The Republic of Sarah, Surveillance and Tommy in the works at CBS.
