Young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful Among Renewals at CBS

It's a good day if you're a fan of any of the content CBS offers during daytime.

The network has renewed its entire daytime line-up for the 2019-2020 TV season.

That means The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Let's Make a Deal, the Price is Right, and The Talk will all be back for an additional season each.

“For almost a third of a century, CBS has demonstrated a remarkable legacy of success in Daytime,” said Angelica McDaniel, the executive vice president of CBS Daytime Programs and Syndicated Programs Development.

“Our programming continues to maintain a level of achievement unheard of in today’s television landscape, thanks to the passion and dedication of the extraordinary producers, casts, staff and crew on the shows, our studio partners, and most importantly, the fans."

The statement concluded, "They have our deepest gratitude, and we look forward to entertaining them for many years to come.”

The Young and the Restless has been on the air for almost 47 years. It is currently averaging 4.6 million viewers per episode.

A renewal for the series was only a matter of time. The ratings are enough to keep it on the show for as long as they stay high.

As for The Bold and the Beautiful, that series recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary and is showing no signs of slowing down. With 3.6 million total viewers, it remains a solid option for the Eye Network.

The Talk is averaging 2.4 million total viewers. It lost co-host Julie Chen last year around the time her husband, Les Moonves, was ousted from the network.

Sara Gilbert is poised to depart at the close of the ninth season, after recently revealing that her time on the show is about to come to an end.
