Dick Wolf Plotting Crossover Between FBI and #OneChicago/SVU Universe
Paul Dailly at .Dick Wolf, the mastermind behind Law & Order: SVU, #OneChicago, and FBI may be about to pull off something huge.
The famed executive producer has revealed to Variety that he plans to stage a crossover between his CBS and NBC dramas.
At this point, CBS is home to FBI and FBI: Most Wanted, while NBC is home to Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and, Chicago Med.

We must stress that this crossover of sorts is still in the early stages of development, so it may not come to fruition, or there could be some big caveats attached.
Given the subject matter FBI tackles, it's more likely that the crossover would be with Law & Order: SVU or Chicago P.D.
Wolf revealed that the idea for the multi-network crossover was his idea, and to his knowledge, the type of crossover has "never been done."
“SVU deals with the FBI a lot because there is a group inside the FBI which is called Innocent Images, which is child pornography and obviously very much on the same page,” he told the outlet at the Monte Carlo TV Festival.

Neither network has confirmed such negotiations, but it's hard to imagine it not appealing to both networks.
All of the Dick Wolf-produced shows tend to perform well in the ratings so it would be a good way to more eyes on each show.
If this is really the first TV universe to pull off such a feat, then there would be a lot of interest to see how it all pans out.
Dick Wolf's grip on the broadcast networks is always expanding. He's well known as the person who can create franchises.

He started the Law & Order franchise several decades ago, and it is still going strong, while the #OneChicago franchise has been helping keep the lights on over at NBC.
FBI is relatively new, but the aim from the get-go was to start another franchise.
