Eva Longoria Reveals She Was "Bullied" By Desperate Housewives Co-Star

It's been over seven years since Desperate Housewives wrapped its run on ABC, and one of the show's leading ladies has opened up about unrest on the set.

Eva Longoria was one of several celebrities who wrote a letter of support for Felicity Huffman over her role in the college admissions scandal.

In the letter, Longoria opened up about a troubling time on the set of the soapy drama in which she was allegedly bullied by a co-worker.

Longoria credits Huffman for being the one to bring the alleged bullying to a halt.

"There was a time I was being bullied at work by a co-worker," Longoria wrote but decided against naming the person.

"I dreaded the days I had to work with that person because it was pure torture. Until one day, Felicity told the bully 'enough,' and it all stopped.

"Felicity could feel that I was riddled with anxiety even though I never complained or mentioned the abuse to anyone."

Longoria went on to say in the letter that Huffman helped her through another difficult time on the series.

She was the only leading lady not to get a nod for a Golden Globe during the show's highly publicized freshman run.

“I wasn’t devastated, but the press made it a bigger deal than it was between the four of us actors and that did affect me a bit,” she wrote.

“Felicity came to my trailer and said, ‘It’s just a piece of metal, that and $1.50 will get you a bus ticket.’ She then proceeded to tell me how talented I was and how I never needed an award to know that."

Huffman pleaded guilty several months ago to committing mail fraud and honest services fraud.

She is said to have paid $15,000 to have someone take the SAT in place of her daughter.

It is expected that Huffman will spend one month in jail and pay a fine for $20,000, but her attorneys are lobbying for community service as opposed to a stint on the inside.

Desperate Housewives Quotes

(narrating) Family. There is nothing more important. They're the ones who show up when we are in trouble. The ones who push us to succeed. The ones who help keep our secrets. But what of those who have no family to rely on? What happens to those poor souls who have no loved ones to help them in their hour of need? Well, most learn to walk life's road by themselves. But a sad few of us, simply stop trying.

There is a prayer intended to give strength to people faced with circumstances they don't want to accept. The power of the prayer comes from it's insight into human nature. Because so many of us rage against the hand that life has dealt us. Because so many of us are cowardly. And afraid to stand up for what is right. Because so many of us give into despair when faced with an impossible choice. The good news for those who utter these words is that God will hear you and answer your prayer. The bad news is that sometimes the answer is no.
