Shay Mitchell is officially a mother.
The former Pretty Little Liars star confirmed Sunday that she and boyfriend Matte Babel had welcomed their first child into the world.
“Never letting go,” the actress captioned a photo of herself holding her child’s hand.
Mitchell has been dating Mabel since 2017 after being introduced through mutual friends.
News of Mitchell's pregnancy broke in June, with her sharing a topless maternity photo, alongside the following joke:
“Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the carpool lane at all times now?”
“There is something in the oven and it’s not my pizza!!! WOW … It’s kind of surreal processing the fact that another human is growing inside of you,” Mitchell wrote in the description for an announcement video.
"When you're in the public eye, there are some things you want to keep a secret until you feel ready," Mitchell said in the video.
"This, for me, has been the hardest." She continued, "I didn't want to come out on social media so early on."
Mitchell has been keeping her fans up to date with her pregnancy through her Youtube Originals series, Almost Ready, which debuted back in July.
She said she intended to give fans an insight into the ups and downs of being pregnant.
"It didn't feel right to just put up a photo and be like 'I'm pregnant' and have everyone think that it's peaches and rainbows," she shared.
This is real life, and I want people to come along with me on this journey in real time," she explained.
Mitchell shot to fame thanks to her seven-seasn turn as Emily Fields on Freeform's Pretty Little Liars. More recently, she appeared on Netflix's YOU, and can next be seen on Hulu's Dollface, coming in November.

There are also two segments to comments now. You can either comment using Facebook or Disqus. Either way, you can SEE both types of comments. We hope that will be more inclusive of our community at large and that the conversations will grow as a result.
