Schitt's Creek Season 6 Promo Teases a Bittersweet Goodbye

All good things must come to an end.

For POP TV's Schitt's Creek, that end is coming in 2020, and it's going to be difficult to say goodbye to the Roses and every single colorful character in their orbit.

The brief teaser dropped by the cabler shows Johnny (Eugene Levy), Moira (Catherine O'Hara), David (Dan Levy), Alexis (Annie Murphy), Patrick (Noah Reid), and Stevie (Emily Hampshire).

What's most telling about the teaser is that all of the characters appear to be dressed for a big occasion.

Might it be the wedding of David and Patrick, aka the biggest event of the decade? There's so much emphasis on their love in the teaser that we think it could be just that.

Little is known about Schitt's Creek Season 6 beyond the fact that it is the end of the line for this show that managed to break through from the clutter in this Peak TV era.

Not many shows can do that, but Schitt's Creek found itself in the awards circuit this year, with the show nommed Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmy Awards this year.

Catherine O'Hara and Eugene Levy were also up for individual acting awards. The series did not win them, but the fact that a show on a smaller network like POP TV was nominated in the first place is a testament to the show's success.

"We are so grateful to have been given the time and creative freedom to tell this story in its totality, concluding with a final chapter that we had envisioned from the very beginning," creators Daniel and Eugene Levy said of the decision to conclude the series in March.
