Claire: Not really. I think I'm in love with my boss.
Glassman: I heard you're leaving surgery. It's not easy, but I think it's the right call.
Morgan: I don't. I love operating. I'm going to have the surgery on my hands.
Glassman: Well, that's stupid.
Melendez: It is one thing to take your bad mood out on your colleagues, but to undermine me in front of the patient... thank goodness he disagreed.
Shaun: My opinion is valid.
Melendez: All opinions are valid until we go into the operating room. We have to be a team. One opinion.
Shaun: I don't feel better. I feel worse. And doing the wrong surgery will not help me feel better. I didn't want to be here. I'm going home.
Melendez: So think outside the box.
Shaun: There is no box. That is a stupid expression and you are wasting time just because you want to be nice to her [Claire].
Melendez: I'm not being nice.
Shaun: You ARE being nice.
Melendez: No, I'm using my years of experience to make a recommendation. And you're being a jerk.
Finn: Is there any way you can keep her and Natalie in separate waiting rooms so they don't cross paths during my surgery?
Claire: We're not helping you cheat.
Finn: I'm not cheating. I've been honest about how I'm not ready to settle down, but sometimes women make assumptions.
Claire: Assumptions. That's what you're calling it.
Finn: Look, all I'm asking is to get through brain surgery without emotional turmoil that I'm sure would make it more stressful.

Shaun: I wish I was normal.
Claire: Everyone wishes they were normal. You need to get up and shower and shave and go to work and not because your patients need you, but because it will make you feel better.
