... Meg resents it when she overhears Craig telling a complete stranger that she's pregnant and demands that he stop making everything about her pregnancy. When it's time for her first prenatal appointment, Meg insists on seeing her doctor without Craig. When she won't allow him to talk with her doctor afterwards, he becomes suspicious but agrees to back off...

... Barbara brings Paul to see Will and Gwen in hopes of cheering them up after the failure with the implanted egg. In spite of the recent trouble, Paul thanks Gwen for all she has done for Will. Will overhears Barbara urging Gwen not to give up on having a family because they can adopt but Will stops her and claims this isn't the time for that kind of talk...

... After they leave, Maddie (Alexandra Chando) arrives and announces that she's transferring to Wesleyan and wanted to say goodbye. She also urges Gwen to consider adoption. Barbara brings her adoption agency friend Ann to meet Gwen and Will but when she learns about Will's record, Ann states that they can't adopt...

... Meg runs into Paul and asks what she can do to change things. Before he can answer, Barbara interrupts. Carly panics when Jack insists that she talk with a specialist or another doctor about her recent show of strength. Henry (Trent Dawson) offers Katie (Terri Colombino) marriage advice about Jack. She calls him to the diner where she complains that their marriage exists only on paper...

... When he explains that he can't move back home because of Carly, Katie gets him to sign the annulment papers and then hands him back her wedding ring. Later, Jack reports this to an encouraged Carly ... who wonders if they should get married...
