Ten athletes compete in a four week competition for the mirrorball trophy, and for the first time in Dancing With the Star history, two couple will be voted off on the season premerie.

First up is Chris Mazdzer, who won an Olympic medal for Men's Single Luge event. He's partnered with Witney Carson to dance the alsa to “Mr. Put It Down” by Ricky Martin featuring Pitbull.

Mirai Nagasu, Olympic bronze medal winning figure skater, partners with Alan Bersten dance the salsa to “No Excuses” by Meghan Trainor.

Awarded the Most Valuable Player award when her team won the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament, Notre Dame junior and basketball player Arike Ogunbowale is partnered with Gleb Savchenko as they dance the salsa to “Them Girls” by Whitney Myer.
