Recap

Rakesh teams up with Corey Smith and Zach to hack the God Account and get access to the code.

Unfortunately, the God Account began defending itself and the mission was unsuccessful. Or so Rakesh thought.

When Corey began acting weird when Rakesh told him the God Account glitched, he did some investigating and found out Corey lied about his motives.

When they hacked into the account, he implanted a virus. He tells Miles if they don't find out who is behind the God Account in 24 hours, the account will seize to exist.

Miles has quite the dilemma with his new Friend Suggestion, a troll named Trevor who calls him out for ruining his life during a live podcast recording.

Except Miles never met Trevor, so he doesn't really know how he could have ruined his life.

A little investigation unearths that Trevor is into Rose, the woman whom Miles reunited Lt. Freemont with in Times Square.

Miles visits Trevor at work and learns that he works for Rose's family. They go way back as he used to be best friends with her late brother.

Trevor blames Miles for losing the love of his life. Now that she's a few days from getting married, he believes he needs to tell her how he feels.

Miles and the God Squad advises against it since it could cost them a friendship.

Trevor believes Miles of all people should understand given his situation with Cara. In a moment of rage, he outs that Miles is still in love with Cara in the comments of his podcast.

Rakesh deletes them almost immediately.

Rose asks Trevor to speak at her rehearsal dinner and despite Miles's warning, he pours his heart our in front of all the guests.

When the room falls silent, Trevor feels stupid and runs out.

The next day, Rose comes looking for him. She and Miles find him at her late brother's grave.

He tells her he understands if they don't want to be friends with him again, but Rose says he's family and they need to find a way to move forward.

Soon after, Miles attends Trevor's stand-up gig. He tells him he quit the paper company to pursue his true calling.

He also meets a fellow comic, Marla, which Rakesh's soulmate app previously paired him with.

Adam tells Cara he saw the comment Trevor left on Miles's podcast and breaks up with her despite her objections that she's over Miles.

Ali continues with her chemotherapy. Emily is by her side through it all, but she oversees a text on her phone from Tracy.

She becomes suspicious, and those suspicions intensify when Emily cancels their plans to hang out with her ex.

The next day, Emily tells Ali that she only met up with her ex to get closure and the two exchange "I love you's."

God Friended Me Season 2 Episode 20 Quotes

Rakesh: This is the best shot we’ve ever had at hacking into the God Account’s firewall and figuring out who’s behind this. This is important.
Zach: Okay, then why isn’t Miles here?
Rakesh: Cause Miles is dealing with a lot. That’s why he has me.

Cara: Hey, we’re just friends.
Adam: Friends who never actually broke up.
Cara: What are you talking about? Of course, we did.
Adam: Cara, there’s a big difference between choosing to break up and being broken up because of the God Account.
