Sharon learns from a doctor that her heart condition is worse and that she needs a pacemaker right away. She plans to return to work immediately but the doctor makes her go home for the day after the procedure is done. The team continues to investigate in the meantime and learns about a victim named Shelley Coyne in San Diego. However, Shelley refuses to talk to Page and Nolan.

Sharon returns just in time to find out that Shelley called Curtis right after her visit from MCU, leading her to believe that Shelley is blackmailing Curtis.

Provenza worries about Sharon's health while she rejoins the investigation. Meanwhile, Hobbs warns the team that the rapes all occurred in other states and aren't prosecutable in California. However, the team gets a break of sorts when Sanchez's contact leads them to a Las Vegas victim named MeKeisha who eventually names the rapist: Bill Landon.

Mason and Sharon clash over Sharon's use of a press release to trap Landon, while Provenza tries to get Sharon to take a leave of absence.

And in the meantime, Rusty again tells Gus to leave him alone.
