When you watch the season finale of Salem Season 2 Episode 13 online you'll get the shocking conclusion to the witch war between Countess Marburg and Mary Sible. As Countess Marburg is talking about how great it is that the dark lord has returned and how Salem will now prosper, Mary is mourning the loss of her son. Countess Marburg tries to convince Mary to accept the dark lord, but Mary cannot take any part in this evil and leaves. The dark lord demands to have Mary brought back to him and when she reluctantly comes back, she's reminded of her son, but things take a dark turn when he starts talking about wanting to have her by his side as his wife. Mary heads out to pray in the church and the dark lord tells Countess Marburg he doesn't want the Countess as his wife, but Mary instead. Countess Marburg goes to the church to retrieve Mary, but she doesn't realize she's walking into a trap. Mary sets the church on fire and is determined to kill, not only Countess Marburg, but Mary herself. Unfortunately, Anne shows up at the church and stops the fire, saving the both of them. Countess Marburg gets angry with Mary and enlists Sebastian to kill Mary once and for all because she doesn't deserve the dark lord. Sebastian takes Mary out in the woods, takes some of her blood and sends her on her way because he has unconditional love for her. Sebastian tells Mary where she can find John's, probably lifeless, body and when she comes upon him, she gives up her life to save his. Meanwhile, the dark lord is able to see through Countess Marburg's lies and stabs her repeatedly in the chest and when she calls out for Sebastian's help, he declines saving her life.
