Kirsten Clark is a young woman with a genius IQ, but she has a few social problems. For one, she has temporal dysplasia which causes her to not have any recollection of time. When she finds out the man who raised her has died, she shows no emotions because for her, he's been dead forever. She catches the eye of the director of the stitcher program, Maggie Baptiste, and is brought in for an interview of sorts and agrees to join the program. Kirsten learns more about what she is getting ready to do thanks to one of the scientist Cameron, who informs her the stitcher program is basically going into the mind of someone who is recently deceased to get answers on what they were planning on doing. Kirsten in put into the mind of a bomber and experiences emotions she's never felt before and she also learns were the two bombs they are looking for are located. Kirsten and Cameron go to the first bomb and are able to save the first victim, but the second bombs proves trickier, as it's attached to its victim. As time starts to run out, Kirsten tries to remember the number code she heard in the memories, and at the last minute she is able to input the code and disable the bomb. Maggie is able to protect both Cameron and Kirsten from getting arrested, but she puts her foot down about them sticking to the program and not going after the bad guys. Kirsten is having none of it and decides she wants to leave, but before she can go anywhere, Maggie reveals that Kirsten's father is one of the creators of the stitchers program and Kirsten is back in.
