Recap

Maya helps her brother Matt prepare for his state-senate race. Chris Cavello, a dying former Marine, implicates Lt. Bobby Jones, his commander at the time, in the murder of an Iraqi civilian in 2004. Lt. Col. Tally gets promoted to judge and he's recommending that Maya replace him as senior defense counsel. Matt comes to visit Maya since Tally just buried her in his workload. Harper discovers that Bobby Jones is now a sitting U.S. Congressman. Turnbull isn't ready to interrogate Jones until after other Marines of that platoon corroborate Cavello's account. Everyone is staying mum. Abe wants to question Jones, against Turnbull's advice, to cause Jones's people to smear Cavello and provoke a reaction from "Tico" Antico. Matt is paranoid about being surveilled. Jones denies Cavello's accusation and suggests Cavello had mental-health issues. Tico calls and backs Cavello's version and Turnbull orders Jones arrested. Maya is concerned Matt is off his anti-psychotic medications. On the stand under cross-examination, Tico admitted that he didn't see Jones shoot the Iraqi, and that Cavello had a grudge against Jones. But he finished with a spirited defense of Cavello's character. Another Marine, Blaise Morales, testified that the Iraqi's leg was blown off and that Jones shot him as a mercy killing. Trey argues for panel nullification, but the judge won't change the panel, suggesting instead a lesser charge of manslaughter. Matt tells Maya he stopped his pills so he'd be sharp for his debate. Jones is convicted ofn involuntary manslaughter. Col. Riggle, the convening authority, sets aside the verdict. Abe confronts Riggle, to no avail. He and Trey find that Riggle buried a report from a Polish sniper who saw Jones kill the Iraqi. Jones will face conspiracy charges. Turnbull isn't promoting Maya, but Trey instead.

Abe: More than a handful and less than a quorum?

Maya: I think I know how to gauge an audience. I represented Springhill High at nationals.
Abe: Did you do it while trying to embody a 60-year-old millionaire named Bryson?
