The Good Doctor Season 3 Episode 13 revolves around people with serious illnesses making difficult choices.

A cancer patient, Oliver, decides against more chemo because he can't stand the side effects. His wife is upset but he feels that he has no quality of life. Furthermore, he wants to live fully and do everything he never did since he is going to die soon. He soon ends up back in the hospital with a broken foot after skydiving and wants to go to Costa Rica for the rest of his days. His wife decides she isn't up for any of this and leaves him.

Meanwhile, Morgan's mother comes to the hospital to get Glassman's opinion on a serious brain condition. She doesn't want surgery if it means that she won't be able to paint anymore. She and Morgan don't get along, and her seizures don't change that.

Shaun comes up with a possible diagnosis that doesn't involve extensive surgery, but Morgan vetoes it -- until Claire talks to her. Shaun's diagnosis turns out to be wrong this time, but Morgan finds a possible solution. However, her mother doesn't want to take the risk.
