On The Magicians Season 4 Episode 3, The Great Blank Spot has ended and that means that Alice has to break out Library Jail in order to save her friends, and that means taking their books with her despite the fact that they've gone into the revision room.

Meanwhile, the beast is ready to kill Kady, Penny, Quentin and Josh when Margot says that she can deliver Bacchus. This leaves Margot, Josh, and Eliot to go to Fillory where Josh will have to play the role of assassin and poison a god. The monster inside Eliot doesn't know his own name but when he kills Bacchus he takes something from him that Margot says glows like the sun to her fairy eye.

On Earth, the rest of the magicians find out that Marina was really protecting them for a bounty that has been put on their heads by The McAllister Family. She won't turn them in for five Deweys, coin batteries the library hands out for big magic.

To get the coins for Marina, they will have to steal them, which means that they need to forge a Library Black Card. They enlist the help of Penny's friend Frankie who is gifted with fortune magic. He is able to forge a Black Card, but for the enchantment to work one of The Magicians has to hold a stuffed bear. Whoever is holding the bear will have a really bad day.

Quentin ends up holding the bear, and during the operation he gets some bad news about his father who has cancer.

Yes, Ms. Wicker. I made a deal with the goddamned library, and in doing so, I saved your lives.

Dean Fogg

This thing has god-level power. I have a bad history with gods since apparently one killed me.
