Recap

As we saw last week, Michael’s on a lecture circuit, traveling around the northeast with Pam giving lecture after useless lecture about sales.

After Pam got closure last week when she got to sit down with Karen and see how happy Karen was, Michael wanted to get closure with Holly.

It’s clear that he’s still completely in love with the HR woman and he needs to see her again. Pam’s all about helping Michael out so they blow off the next city on the tour and drive north to the Nashua, NH, branch.

When they arrive they find out that Holly’s on a retreat and that she has a boyfriend. His name is AJ and he’s a sales rep at that branch.

Michael freaks out over the news but Pam convinces him that going through with the lecture will leave a good impression on the branch and Holly will surely hear of it when she returns.

Michael tries to give the lecture but when he calls on AJ, he can’t seem to help himself from asking him about his relationship with Holly.

He even goes as far as to ask AJ if Holly ever mentioned him.

When Michael crawls away to cry, Pam proceeds with the lecture. Sure, she has no sales experience but she’s been working for DM for years.

Pam doesn’t deviate from Michael’s lecture outline. Instead, she uses the index cards to go through the routine pretty much exactly as Michael had.

This includes using the name-association trick and referring to a portly looking man in a suit as “penguin.”

While Pam’s humiliating herself on Michael's behalf, Michael is over by Holly’s desk cutting the sleeve off her sweater in true stalker form.

Pam tells Michael he can’t read a letter he stole from Holly's computer but then agrees to read it for him and tell him what it says.

When Michael goes to get his laptop, Pam justifies this to the camera by saying she’s not in love with Holly.

She reads the letter and then deletes it. Then she tells Michael that Holly does still have feelings for him and leaves it at that.

Michael’s elated by this “closure,” which really isn’t closure.

Back at the office, Dwight is hounding Kelly about her record. She finally admits that when she was 14 she stole her ex-boyfriend’s (father’s) boat after he dumped her.

Dwight and Jim get Kelly’s party underway and despite the glaring lack of “horse hunting” and “mating” that was included on the possible theme list, and the fact that Jim had Kelly’s name spelled wrong on the cake.

Kelly’s party turns out to be a success after Dwight and Jim offer her the option to watch TV for an hour or nap for an hour.

Kelly opts for the nap and is almost too excited to fall asleep when Dwight clears everyone else out of the room and turns the light off.

Finally, Angela the crazy cat lady took it to a new level.

First she announces that she sold the engagement ring Andy gave her on eBay to purchase Princess Lady, a third generation show-cat that cost her seven grand. Angela shows off Princess Lady and her other cats through the nanny-cam set up she has to watch them frolicking via the internet.

It is through this medium, though, that she, Kevin and Oscar discover that Mr. Ash really likes Princess Lady. That's right ... Mr. Ash, her other male cat, is turning the nanny cam into a hard core cat-porn site.

Angela rushes home to yell at Ash and then proceeds to talk to her cats and even clean one using her tongue. Oscar and Kevin watch all this happen on Angela’s computer because she forgot to log off.

The Office Season 5 Episode 15 Quotes

Angela: Hello, everyone. Oh, ice cream. Nice, Kevin. Looks good.
Kevin: It... yeah.
Oscar: Angela, you're more chipper than usual.
Angela: I am proud to announce that there is a new addition to the Martin family. She's hypoallergenic. She doesn't struggle when you try to dress her. She's a third-generation show cat. Her father was in 'Meet the Parents.' Needless to say, she was very, very expensive.
Meredith: How much?
Angela: Seven thousand dollars.
Creed: For a cat? I could get you a kid for that.

Oscar: Two?
Kevin: (holding ice creams) I didn't eat lunch.
Oscar: (stares)
Kevin: I didn't eat ALL my lunch.
