After meeting with Freya, Elijah decides he doesn't trust his sister's intentions when it comes to Hope. Freya wants to use the baby as bait to lure Dahlia to them and Elijah senses she may intend to harm the baby in order to free herself from Dahlia. He and Rebekah set out on a mission to find a way to clone Hope's powers so that Freya's spell will work without giving her the opportunity to hurt Hope. They find help from Vincent, who has been asked to help write a spell unlinking Davina from the body of Eva Sinclair.

Vincent learns that Davina has designs on resurrecting Kol and makes a proposition. The 9 New Orleans covens need a Regent. He has no desire to take the job despite the urging of the covens. The Originals Season 2 Episode 20 Quotes

Rebekah: What's all this?
Cami: Dark objects, because apparently now I'm a dispensary.

We define ourselves by our family. From birth we share their names, entrust them to protect that which we hold most dear. We value them above all others, and yet inevitably, we are forced apart. Promises are made then left unkept. Children in particular turn their backs on those who raised them, seeking lives of their own. The bond of family is not a bond forged by choice. In fact, some would see family as a terrible burden.
