This is part of Enzo's grand plan to make Sarah beg to become a vampire. It's silly, but at least we get to hear/see Michael Malarkey.

Liz Forbes works to close her remaining open cases before officially retiring from her role as the sheriff of Mystic Falls. Caroline and Stefan ready the Forbes family cabin for Liz's final moments, but Liz is too weak to make it there. Caroline and Stefan rush home to find Liz in the hospital with doctors keeping her comfortable. The group gathers around to say goodbye to their friend and the only mother-figure remaining in Mystic Falls.
