Cane turns the other way when he spots Lily (Christel Khalil) working out. Finding Lily upset about Cane (Daniel Goddard) rejecting her yet again, Colleen (Tammin Sursok) urges her to just be friends.

Kevin is far from pleased when Gloria leaks that she bought an expensive present for Jeffrey. As Lauren and Michael arrive, Kevin tries to tell his brother but Gloria (Judith Chapman) interrupts and seeks out his help making Jack (Peter Bergman) pay for what he did.

Gloria calls Jeffrey to invite him to dinner and asks Kevin to attend to see how much Jeffrey loves her. As Kevin takes notes from the bar, Gloria dines with Jeffrey and instructs him on how best to fool her son.

After dinner, Gloria confides to Kevin that Jeffrey doesn't know it yet but he's going to help her get even with Jack. At Summer's birthday party, Victor advises Nick and Phyllis that he called in Nikki's loan.

Nick can't believe it with all that is happening right now and Phyllis asks them to focus on her baby's birthday. When Nikki and David arrive, Victor announces he's leaving. Jack gets into an argument with Noah.

Jack argues with Michael who blasts him for the way he's treating Gloria. Phyllis stops the bickering and advises Sharon to ask Jack about a letter he wrote when he feared his life was over.

Back home later, Jack hands Sharon the letter and she's impressed enough to cancel the idea of divorcing him after the holidays, though she is going to need time away. Gloria wants to delay action on John's will.

At the hospital J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) informs Victor (Eric Braeden) that he's named the baby Reed and is unnerved later to hear Victor talking with the baby.
