- The town's water supply is disrupted which sets off a riot for food and supplies. The lake is found contaminated and unsafe for drinking.

- Big Jim trades propane for access to well water for the town, but the farmer holds his ground. Then, after Angie escaped, she was attacked at the restaurant and taken home by Big Jim. He offered her whatever she wanted in order to keep quiet about Junior's actions.
