13 Romances Ruined By Age

A lot of people think age is just a number, but that's not always the case.

Two consenting adults are allowed to be in a relationship, but when you put a middle aged person with someone who's in high school, or just barely out of it, things start to feel innapropriate.
We created a slideshow below of 13 romances that were ruined by age.
1. Frank and Alice - Friends

There's probably not a lot of people that actually support Frank and Alice's relationship. If anything, it was just supposed to be a comedic aspect of Friend's current baby storyline.
2. Daenerys and Drogo - Game of Thrones

People tend to forget that Daenerys wasn't even 17 when she was married to someone who was 30. We get that it took place during a different time period, but it was still uncomfortable.
3. Annie and Jeff - Community

The age difference between Annie and Jeff was put into place to show that they weren't going to be romantically involved. But as the writers and fans started noticing their chemistry, their dynamic started to change. We would have been all for it if Annie wasn't in her late teens and Jeff wasn't in his 30's.
4. Nick and Eden - The Handmaid's Tale

There wasn't a real romance here, but their whole storyline was a horror to watch play out. They were forced into an arranged marriage and Nick was expected to sleep with a 15-year-old girl. The scene was difficult to get through, to say the least.
5. Hakeem and Camilla - Empire

We can't be more thankful that this relationship didn't last long. There are a lot of icky things we could say about it, but him calling her "momma" sums it all up.
6. Aria and Ezra - Pretty Little Liars

This entire relationship was just wrong. Pretty Little Liars tried to make Aria and Ezra's love story epic, but it was horrible and illegal. Anytime a grown man sleeps with his underage high school student he should end up in jail, not praised by viewers around the world.
